Garden Project

Core members who access the Garden project will gain general horticultural skills. These included: sowing, weeding, digging, soil preparation and harvesting. Additional skills include planting and transplanting, the use of handheld tools, woodwork and constructing herb boxes.

There is the opportunity for Core members to gain advanced skills in use of power tools, pruning and hedge cutting. Another programme in the garden project is the growth of enterprise skills linked to the production of vegetable boxes, sale of eggs and manufacturing of items for craft fairs.
